On July 19th, 2022, FECYT Council of Foundations for Science was held in Madrid, and one of the highlights of the event was the presentation by the Quo Artis Foundation, which introduced the A Sea Change project.
The Quo Artis Foundation also highlighted the scientific research that underpins the project, which includes studies on the impacts of human activity on marine ecosystems, as well as the latest techniques for monitoring and protecting ocean health.

The FECYT Council of Foundations for Science is represented by more than 60 private foundations working in the field of science, technology and innovation. The work carried out by these foundations brings a series of benefits to Spanish society as a whole. On the one hand, they increase scientific activity by funding research projects. They generate knowledge through their own research activity. They stimulate the development of scientific careers and the retention of Spanish talent through pre- and post-doctoral contracts. They promote and disseminate scientific knowledge and interest in science from an early age and encourage innovation and entrepreneurship.
FECYT supports the Council of Foundations for Science in the dissemination of calls and events; in the search for synergies and joint activities; updates the catalogue of grants for training, research and innovation; organises an annual plenary meeting; carries out a biennial survey of investment in science, technology and innovation and other issues of interest that may arise.
The Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology, F.S.P. (FECYT) is a public foundation attached to the Ministry of Science and Innovation. Thanks to this collaboration, the FECYT works to strengthen the link between science and society through actions that promote open and inclusive science, culture and scientific education, responding to the needs and challenges of the Spanish system of science, technology and innovation.
